Frankie Beverly and Maze taught us all about joy and pain. Marvin taught us about pride and joy. I've experienced so many feelings along my artist journey and it seems to be a never-ending train of emotions. While creating this piece, I found myself experiencing a love-hate relationship with my art that was fueled by selfish pride. In reality I was going through another creative block but in my mind it felt like the very thing that brought me so much joy in the world was hurting me the most.
